The Seattle Seahawks play the New York Giants in week 13 with both teams battling for a playoff spot.

The Seattle Seahawks play the New York Giants in week 13. The Seahawks are in first place in the NFC West at 8-3 and the Giants, while just 4-7, are in first place in the NFC East and have won three straight games. To help preview the Seahawks versus Giants in week 13, we asked five questions to Danny Friedman of FanSided’s Giants site GMEN HQ.

12th Man Rising: What do you think about the job Joe Judge has done and how can the Giants be better in 2021?

Danny Friedman: I think Joe Judge has done a terrific job in year one handling the NY Giants and navigating through this crazy pandemic. Judge was thrown a nightmare curveball for any rookie NFL Head Coach as he was forced to have a fully remote and virtual offseason. He has put together a solid roster with what looks like some intriguing building blocks for the future. He has fully made his presence felt around 1925 Giants Drive and it’s no secret it’s his show now. The players really seem to like him and he has full command and respect of his players.

The team could’ve easily folded after starting 0-5 and 1-7, but Judge kept the team together and has put them in the drivers’ seat for an end of the season playoff run. That hasn’t been the case in East Rutherford the last four years and Judge has completely changed the Giants culture in one year.

I am excited to see the Giants keep attacking and building in the trenches with their offensive and defensive line. The o-line has made incredible strides since Week 1 and the unit should only get better with increased reps and experience heading into 2021.

On the flip side, Big Blue must figure out what to do with two key pending free agents in Dalving Tomlinson and Leo Williams. They likely will only keep one and must figure out whether to keep the homegrown Tomlinson or the traded for and franchise-tagged Williams. The biggest spot the Giants must be better at in 2021 is receiver. They need to draft or sign a big-bodied receiver desperately. They need more speed and size at the position as they look to give Daniel Jones better weapons for the future.
