The Seahawks will be just fine

Overreaction Monday is a real thing and earlier in the week, many overreacted poorly to this Seahawks loss. First and foremost, many analysts in the media need to give the Giants credit for a great game plan. They are not as bad as everyone thinks and I would have thought that was made obvious during this game. Secondly, this is probably the 4th or 5th time analysts have sold their stock on the Seahawks.

The reality is — regardless of what any media outlet thinks — this Seahawks locker room will not fall apart as a result of this game. Bad losses happen and the good teams, are able to use them as a learning experience. They are able to turn the anger into motivation for the next game. Who knows, the Seahawks could look back at this game and wish they ran the ball more. Maybe if they are in a similar situation later in the season or in the playoffs, they use this experience and turn to the run game.

Once again, the defense was dominant. Outside of the one big run, the Seattle defense played another great game. Although it was expected, 12s should still be excited because the defense was perceived to be the weakness of this team. They probably would have gotten more sacks if the Giants decided to pass more, but despite the heavy run attack, the Seahawks defense did their part.

The most concerning thing moving forward for this Seattle team is the offensive line.

But, I do not think this should cause people to jump the ship on this Seattle team. When Brandon Shell comes back, this offense will most likely look different. They will have plenty of opportunities to prove it as they have some mean defenses on the schedule. After the Jets, they face Washington and then Los Angeles, two teams who have furious pass rushes.

The reality of the situation is that 12s should remain optimistic. Everything the Seahawks want is still in front of them. While they are not in first place in the West at the moment, their Week 16 matchup against the Rams will ultimately determine the division winner. Russell Wilson has often said, “in the midst of chaos, go with what you know”. Well, what do we know?

Next. Grades from Seahawks loss to Giants in week 13. dark

First, Russell Wilson is one of the best in this game and will get back to MVP form. Secondly, the defense has shown improvement each and every week. Thirdly, Pete Carroll is a future hall of fame coach that will galvanize this locker room to a strong finish.
