Jamal Adams gets 3 sacks and an interception

This is the game that Jamal Adams has likely been looking forward to most all season long. Adams, of course, was traded by the Jets to the Seahawks for 2 first-round picks before the season. In his time in New York, Adams felt underappreciated and felt that the franchise was not looking towards the future with any real plan. He wanted out and Seattle brought him in.

Since Adams left the Jets they haven’t won a game and Adams is now on a team that is going to make the playoffs. Adams himself is on a pace to break the all-time sack record in a season by a defensive back. In 2005, Arizona’s Adrian Wilson had 8. Adams has 7.5 with four games left and he has only played in 8 games.

Adams will break the record this week when he gets 3 sacks against the Jets. New York allows their quarterback to get sacked on 8.1 percent of drop-backs in 2020 (Seattle is worse at 8.4) and this is 29th in the league. Adams is going to find a way to hit Jets quarterback Sam Darnold often.

And Adams will also get his first interception of the season and return it 38 yards. While Adams has been criticized for some coverage breakdowns this year, he isn’t bad in coverage and also knows the Jets system.
