Chris Carson will run for 110 yards, two touchdowns but fumble once

I have a feeling, likely wrong, that Seattle has held Chris Carson back a bit this year because they wanted to have him as healthy as possible for late in the season. Sure, Carson did get injured and missed four straight games but even that was weird. Each week head coach Pete Carroll made it seem as if Carson was just on the cusp of being able to play that week. Was Carson or did Seattle truly not know?

Even since Carson’s return in week 12 Carson seemed underused. He has had 33 carries in three games and that isn’t enough. But this week against Washington, Carson is needed and he will respond. Washington can get pressure on opposing quarterbacks and is excellent at limited yards after the catch. This is going to be a grind it out game and Carson is the perfect back for that.

This is the first week where Carson will get over 20 carries in a game in 2020. Carson will finish with 22. He will also run for 110 yards and will run two touchdowns in, one for 11 yards and one for 2. But Carson will also fumble once and lose that fumble, something he hasn’t done so far this season.

Washington is eighth in the NFL in forced fumbles with 12. But on Washington’s next drive they will be forced to punt so the fumble won’t hurt.
