Here are the Seahawks three stars from their week 15 victory over Washington.

The Seahawks are playoff-bound again after their 20-15 victory over Washington on Sunday. This marks the 9th time in Pete Carroll and John Schneider’s 11 years running Seattle’s football team that Seattle has made the playoffs. That’s good stuff.

What else was good stuff against Washington? These three stars of the game for the Seahawks.

D.J. Reed

I wrote a few weeks ago that after the season Seattle might need to make a bigger play to re-sign D.J. Reed than Shaquill Griffin. Maybe I don’t totally believe that but I could see the argument for as well. Reed has been very good its year and Griffin is going to be a lot more expensive.

Through week 15, Reed is the 19th-highest-graded cornerback in the NFL, per Pro Football Focus. He is eighth-best in run defense. And Reed has a lot of years of football in front of him as he is just 24 years old.

On Sunday, Reed had an interception, three passes defended and 6 tackles. Washington quarterback Dwayne Haskins was just 2 for 8 for 19 yards, that one pick and no touchdowns when throwing Reed’s way.

Jamal Adams

Jamal Adams continues to increase his NFL record for sacks by a defensive back. Adams now has 9.5 sacks this season after having one on Sunday. Seattle’s strong safety also had 9 tackles and a tackle for loss. Sure, Seattle gave up two first-round draft picks to get him and that might be bad for simply a safety. But Adams is much more than a safety, almost like a linebacker with a safety’s number.

Adams should continue to be one of the best defensive players in the NFL for a lot more seasons and play in a Seahawks uniform.

Next. 3 things we learned about the Seahawks in week 15. dark

Michael Dickson

Dickson did everything a punter could possibly do against Washington to put his team in a position to win. He punted four times and all were placed inside the Washington 20 yard line. Dickson had a long of 57 yards, averaged 50.8 yards with a net of 51 (Washington tried to return two punts but lost -1 yard trying to do so). When Dickson was drafted by Seattle in 2018 they thought he could be a “defensive weapon” and he has not disappointed.
