Have you ever wondered what the Seahawks’ last 8 seasons would have been without Russell Wilson? Look no further.

Thankfully the Seahawks drafted Russell Wilson in the third round of the 2012 NFL draft so we don’t have to worry about this in real life, but everybody loves a “What if” story. So, what if the Seahawks decided to pass on Russell Wilson?

Of course, there are also some things that I must say before people get mad and say that “this or that would not have happened.” I don’t go too deep into the other teams and what they would look like.

I assumed that all other teams will look exactly the same and while the Seahawks draft position will be moved around obviously, I won’t change anything about who the other teams draft and trade because it would simply be way too much to redo every single draft. I also assumed that the players the Seahawks drafted would follow similar paths to how their careers went in actuality with their other teams.

I tried my best to imagine what the Seahawks would have done with their picks and for example, if they actually had the 20th draft slot in each round one year, and in my hypothetical, they have the 10th pick in every round, I kept the draft picks exactly the same just to make it easier. Also, good thing Pete Carroll and John Schneider “like their guys” and pick their best available, so they might actually have picked the same way even with different draft positions.

Well, here we go. Let’s go all the way back to April 27, 2012, for the second day of the NFL draft.
