Russell Wilson

Russell Wilson started off the season really well with any talk of who the MVP was having to include his name. Since Week 10 though, which was the last time the Seahawks and Rams faced each other, Wilson’s play has been on a downward trend and has taken himself completely out of the MVP conversation.

In that matchup which was the first of his downtrend, Wilson threw for 248 yards with two interceptions and a fumble lost. At least he did rush for 60 yards on eight attempts which brought his average to 7.5 yards a run. There was no doubt though that his mediocre showing that game led to the Seahawks 23-16 defeat at the hands of the Rams.

Despite beating the Washington Football Team 20-15 last week, Wilson had a terrible game. He threw for just 121 yards with a touchdown, an interception and 52 yards on the ground on six tries.

This time against the Rams, Wilson will have to be much better and close to his former self at the beginning of the season when he was being talked about for the MVP award. If the Seahawks want to win and clinch the division, the real Russell Wilson will have to show up.

Let’s hope he turns things around this game.
