Seattle Seahawks vs Los Angeles Rams: Players to watch for
By Reuben Gasee
D.K. Metcalf
This season, D.K. Metcalf has emerged as a top tier wide receiver across the National Football League. He’s made herculean catches, puts up great numbers, routinely gets himself open for a pass and a lot more that most wide receivers can’t do.
Although when it comes to the Rams, his stats show that he tends to play like a below-average wide receiver. The last time the Seahawks and Rams faced each other in Week 10, he was targeted four times but only caught two of those targets for a mere 28 yards.
This can widely be attributed to the fact that he was shadowed by star cornerback Jalen Ramsey who’s probably the best player in the league at his position. He’s great at coverage and gives the wide receiver he’s covering a hard time to get open or even catch the ball.
As Metcalf now has the experience and knows what it’s like to play against a top cornerback like Ramsey, hopefully, he can make adjustments to his game in order to get open and get more passes from his future hall-of-fame quarterback.
Ramsey took round one in the first matchup, let’s hope Metcalf can win round two in their second time around.
