Seattle Seahawks rollercoaster review: December edition
By Jake Luppino
Where I Was Right
So far, I have been pretty solid with my game predictions for each month as well as betting the spread for each game in the NFC West. But, I have struggled with my bold predictions for each month. Heading into the month of December, I was 4/14. Well, it seemed that once again, I whiffed on the predictions. Although it is a small list, let’s take a look at where I was right.
- 3rd time’s a charm — Josh Gordon will be reinstated in the month of December. — Well, I was right here. Gordon did get reinstated only to get indefinitely suspended once again.
- The Seattle Seahawks will clinch the NFC West by the end of the month. — They successfully did this by defeating the Los Angeles Rams in Week 16.
Where I Was Wrong
In the first three months of the season, I have gotten 2 predictions correct every time. I guess that is my lucky number. Here is where I was wrong in the month of December.
- CB Shaquill Griffin will record two interceptions in the month of December. — He came close. He only recorded 1 interception and it came on a great play against Washington.
- LB Bobby Wagner will record three sacks in the month of December. — I wasn’t even close. Wagner recorded 0 sacks in the month of December.
- WR D.K. Metcalf will record 5 touchdowns in the month of December. — Again, wasn’t close. Metcalf only recorded 1 touchdown, which came as a true surprise to me.
- The Seattle defense will hold 3 of their 4 opponents to under 20 points. — I am happy to be wrong about this. Seattle held each of their December opponents to under 20 points.
- Russell Wilson will be the MVP frontrunner heading into Week 17. — Aaron Rodgers is the favorite, followed by Patrick Mahomes.
