Seattle Seahawks rollercoaster review: December edition
By Jake Luppino
December Recap
Seahawks drop a dud at home — Giants storm into Seattle and pull off the upset with backup QB Colt McCoy.
Many expected the Seattle Seahawks to win this game regardless of whether Daniel Jones started or not. But, that did not happen. The Giants post-snap defensive disguise caused confusion for this Seattle offense. That, along with the constant pressure applied on Russell Wilson was a losing formula. The Giants shocked the world by pulling off the upset on the road in Seattle. Disappointing loss for the Seahawks.

Seahawks bounce back — Seattle embarrasses the other New York team in Week 14.
This game was exactly what most expected it to be. Coming off a bad loss, the Seahawks did what they wanted whenever they wanted. They got back to that balanced attack offensively, which makes them really dangerous. The defense made it look easy and Jamal Adams was able to get revenge on his former team by breaking the NFL record for most sacks by a defensive back. Seattle did exactly what they had to in this one.

Seahawks clinch playoff birth — On the east coast, they defeated Washington in a gritty defensive battle.
The Seahawks were able to jump out to an early lead in this one. Up big in the second half, the offense took their foot off the gas and allowed Washington to slowly creep back into this game. But, it was the Seattle defense that played hero as they clinched the win on the road. Washington being only down 5, on the potential game-winning drive, the Seahawks were able to get back-to-back sacks. The second coming from none other than Carlos Dunlap. His sack essentially sealed the Seattle victory.

Seahawks clinch NFC West — Defense leads the way as Seattle gets revenge over Los Angeles.
In Week 16, perhaps the biggest game of the season for the Seahawks, they were able to get revenge on the Rams for the Week 10 loss. The defense once again led the way, preventing the Rams from getting into any rhythm. Russell Wilson got to cooking in the second half and led the Seahawks on two crucial scoring drives. One, coming in the fourth quarter that saw him complete every single pass. They played like a true Super Bowl-caliber team.
