The Seattle Seahawks had six players miss practice again on Thursday.

There wasn’t a lot of change with the players listed on the Seattle Seahawks injury report from Wednesday to Thursday ahead of week 17’s matchup with the San Francisco 49ers. And thankfully, there were no new additions with players who are important to Seattle’s chances on Sunday.

Left tackle Duane Brown did go from being listed as a limited participant on Wednesday to not practicing on Thursday but all season Thursday has been the day that Brown has been held out to rest. Brown is one of the most important players on Seattle’s roster so keeping him fresh is important.

Tight end Greg Olsen missed Thursday’s practice as well. But just like Wednesday, this is mostly to let Olsen rest his injured foot.

Running back Carlos Hyde is still dealing with an illness and missed his second straight day of practice. If Hyde is unavailable to play on Sunday, Seattle should still have starter Chris Carson and Rashaad Penny.

Carson and Penny were also on the injury report, however, and listed as limited participants. Carson has had a foot issue for most of the year and is likely to play against the 49ers and is simply resting the injury. The same likely can be said of Penny who is overcoming a 2019 knee injury and has missed most of 2020 but has played sparingly the last two games.

Of the players listed on the Seahawks injury report as non-participants, running back DeeJay Dallas, cornerback Jayson Stanley and guard Mike Iupati are the ones unlikely to play on Sunday.

Carlos Dunlap and Jarran Reed went from limited participants on Wednesday to full participants on Thursday so they are good to go against the 49ers.

The 49ers are still struggling

San Francisco continues to have an awful year with injuries and will be missing lots of players against Seattle. Pro Bowl left tackle Trent Williams, cornerback Richard Sherman and receivers Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel have all already been ruled out against Seattle. The 49ers have 9 players who did not participate on Thursday, the same as Wednesday.
