Special Teams

A. . . Seattle Seahawks. SPECIAL TEAMS

P Michael Dickson was busy in the win as he punted the ball 5 times. He once again did a good of helping this Seahawks team win the field possession battle.

K Jason Meyers was able to bang in two more field goals. But, missed a crucial extra point in the fourth quarter. After scoring to cut the lead to 16-12, Meyers missed the extra point. On the ensuing Seattle drive, they got down to the red zone and were forced to go for it on fourth down. If Meyers had made the extra point, a simple chip shot field goal would have tied the game. Heading into the playoffs, that must be prevented as every point matters.

Cody Barton is just all over the place. Kickoffs, punts, no matter what it is, he is making the tackle. He has been a standout on special teams this year. The Seahawks have one of the better special team units in this league and they should help contribute to what should be a deep playoff run.

Next. Seahawks need to re-sign these five players this offseason. dark

The Seattle Seahawks will begin the playoffs on Saturday when they host the Los Angeles Rams at Lumen Field in Seattle at 1:40 pm PT.
