Another big day for Tyler Lockett

Tyler Lockett had two of his better games in the desert this year. Earlier in the month of November, the San Francisco 49ers were informed they would have to play their home games elsewhere due to the spike of COVID-19 cases in the Bay Area. They were welcomed into Arizona and Tyler Lockett sure was happy about that.

In Week 7, when Seattle faced the Cardinals on Sunday Night Football in Arizona, fans were treated to a thriller. In a dramatic game that saw the Cardinals hand the Seahawks their first loss of the season in overtime, Tyler Lockett had perhaps the game of the year. He recorded 15 catches, 200 yards and 3 touchdowns. He seemed to be open on nearly every play and he set the tone early with two big plays on the first drive.

In Week 17 against the 49ers, Lockett once again set the tone early. Often, Wilson was looking his way on a short hitch or out route. While he was posting numbers early in the game, he didn’t turn it up until late in the game when his team needed him the most. He finished the game with 12 catches for 90 yards and 2 touchdowns. Both of those touchdowns came in the fourth quarter. His second touchdown came on a 4th down conversion where he was able to beat his man on a drag route in the end zone.

Lockett also set a new franchise record for most receptions in a single season (95). I am not sure what it is about Arizona, but Tyler Lockett certainly plays his best football over there. Congratulations to him on a great game and setting a new franchise record for the Seattle Seahawks.
