A 10-step plan to get the Seahawks back to the Super Bowl
By Geoff Shull

Two free agents the Seahawks should sign to help bolster their depth on 1-year deals.
RB: Marlon Mack: 1 year, $2.5 million.
Mack was heading to a massive payday in 2021. He has two back-to-back 1,000 rushing yard seasons with very little injury history or issues in his game. Bang. Mack tore his ACL 11 snaps into his 2020 campaign.

His valuation now is drastically lower than it had been heading toward. He is still just a 24-year-old running back who fits the Seahawks downhill M.O. perfectly. This is a buy-low player who could be a perfect pairing in the system if he can get back to shape. Low-risk, very high-reward.
DT: Ndamukong Suh: 1 year, $6 million.
Suh and the Seahawks have flirted about getting together for years. Suh is a free agent mercenary that is always available for hire. He is about as durable of a defensive lineman as they come. He also produces in the game through hard stats and helping those around him improve. I love the thought of pairing Suh and Poona Ford as the defensive tackles.
I think Suh could be the presence needed to see Ford take the next jump to stardom. Similar to the jump the Bucc’s saw with Vita Vea in 2019-2020. It’s time to bring the Portland kid back to the Pacific Northwest.
Previous effective cap space: $20.85 million.
Cost from signing: $8.5 million.
New effective cap space: $12.35 million.
