Four players that the Seahawks need to sign Wednesday
By Geoff Shull
Player 4: Quinton Jefferson, DL
Another homecoming for the Seahawks. Quinton Jefferson played as a rotational defensive end, defensive tackle last year for the Bills. He admitted he was surprised when the Bills announced they were cutting him.
After all, he was coming off a very strong year with Buffalo. He ended the season top 10 in pass rush win rate. He was all over the field. He is one of those players who simply makes those around him better and does so in a fairly quiet way. He does all the small things to set others up.
Seattle let go of Carlos Dunlap. The belief was that he would re-sign in Seattle after testing the market. However, due to the signings I have outlined in the previous 3 slides, It would be hard for Seattle to still afford his services.
The Seahawks are also really high on Alton Robinson and Darrell Taylor (hopefully Taylor makes it on the field in 2021). It’s possible they see more of a need at the 5-tech and 3-tech around LJ Collier, Rasheem Green, and Jarran Reed than they do at the LEO position. Quinton Jefferson is a name Seahawks fans need to watch.
Projected contract: 1 year, $3 million
