The third round

Picks 65 through 81

Pick 65 – Kelvin Joseph – CB – Kentucky – Jacksonville

Having added an LB to the Jags D, they now get some help in the secondary.

Pick 66 – Paulson Adebo – CB – Stanford – NY Jets

The Jets need at cornerback is obvious, so their first defensive selection needs to be one.

Pick 67 – Creed Humphrey – Oklahoma – Houston

When you wear a massive stetson and your name is Creed, you have to be in Houston. The Texans need a Center and Humphrey will literally fill that gap.

Pick 68 – Kenny Gainwell – RB – Memphis – Atlanta

I know they have Mike Davis and I mocked them to take Travis Etienne in round 2, but Gainwell is too good to pass on.

Pick 69 – Dylan Moses – LB – Alabama – Cincinnati

The Bengals add another LB to go with Micah Parsons, effective pass rushing is going to be important in a division with talented QB’s on every team.

Pick 70 – Rodarius Williams – CB – Oklahoma State – Philadelphia

Another addition to the Eagles secondary against the receivers in their division.

Pick 71 – Dayo Odeyingbo – DL – Vanderbilt – Denver

Odeyingbo gives the Broncos versatility on their D line and helps improve it overall.

Pick 72 – Richie Grant – S – Central Florida – Detroit

The Lions secondary needs as much help as it can get.

Pick 73 – Jay Tufele – DT – USC – Carolina

The Panthers need a left tackle, Tufele should give them what they need at LT.

Pick 74 – Paris Ford – S – Pittsburgh – Washington

WFT has a good young secondary, but Ford should be an upgrade at Safety.

Pick 75 – Asante Samuel Jr – CB – Florida State – Dallas

You know you are getting old when you remember players’ fathers! Samuel Jr will look to emulate his father’s excellent NFL career. he provides further much-needed help for the Cowboys D.

Pick 76 – Trey Smith – OT – Tennessee – NY Giants

Keep adding protection for Jones and see if he can deliver in 2021. Trey Smith can do that.

Pick 77 – Joshua Bledsoe – S – Missouri – LA Chargers

Assuming Herbert and the Offence continue to deliver, the Chargers D just need to hold up their end of the bargain. Safety is a need in order to do so.

Pick 78 – Walker Little – OT – Stanford – Minnesota

Of all the teams in the league, the Vikings have the most obviously deficient O-lines. They have waited years to fix it, so just get it done.

Pick 79 – Ronnie Perkins – DE/LB – Oklahoma – Las Vegas

Pick 80 – Tedarrell Slaton – NT – Florida – Las Vegas

With back-to-back picks, the Raiders go a long way to foxing their D-line woes.

Pick 81 – Marlon Tupulotu – DT – USC – Miami

Another defensive line addition for the fins to make this a truly dominant defensive unit.
