Defensive overview

Plenty of reasons to be cheerful Seahawks fans, this front seven will be one of the best in the NFL in 2021. My overall fifth ranking does lean on a big improvement from the young linebackers on the roster, but I believe in all three of these guys and expect them to be a real plus in years to come.

Even if they do not progress as I envisage in 2021, then there is the possibility of a return to his old form from Carlos Dunlap or an upgrade via the draft at DE/LB.

The guy I have on my radar draft-wise is Janarius Robinson out of Florida State. Every time I watch a video of this guy I find myself either chuckling or wincing, he is such fun to watch but so painful to see him inflict destruction on opposing players.

If he does drop as far as the Seahawks round 4 pick, they should snap him up with relish and much joy! This would also put in place the long-term replacement for Carlos Dunlap. Leaving the only age-related concern beyond 2021 as Al Woods at tackle.

Maybe Bryan Mone or Rasheem Green can step up to be his long-term successor, if not this could be one to look at in the 2022 draft.
