Next three steps Seahawks should take following 2021 NFL draft

Extending Jamal Adams
Now that the majority of the free agent spending is done with for this offseason, the Seahawks should look forward to next year and beyond. Possibly the highest priority heading into next offseason is finding a way to keep Jamal Adams in a Seattle uniform for many more seasons.
No, Adams is not the greatest coverage safety in the history of the NFL but he is a different breed of cat than most players who have come before him. Adams is probably the greatest pass rusher of any player who has ever predominantly played in the secondary. Statistically speaking, this is a fact at least for one season.
But Adams is going to be really expensive. He will likely want in the upper teens as far as millions of dollars per season at least. Luckily, the salary cap will expand next year and Seattle will have more money to spend, especially if Seattle chooses to re-work or release Bobby Wagner in 2022.
Adams is a transcendent player. He could play down in the box, as an extra linebacker, or help in coverage over the top. Plus, in 2022 he will still only be 26 years old at the start of the season. He will be really good for a long time and needs to be with the Seahawks for several more years.
