Seahawks should sign these three remaining free agents

Justin Houston
At this point, like Vernon, the market for Houston is getting smaller and smaller. But Houston is still a really good pass rusher. In 2020 he had 8 sacks and in 2019 he had 11. Maybe Houston will be 32 years old during the 2021 season but the good thing is that Seattle doesn’t need him to play full-time snaps.
Houston is one of the more consistent pass rushers in the NFL. He will never be the 22 sack guys he was when he played for the Chiefs in 2014. But every year but one since 2010, Houston has had at least 7.5 sacks. And every year since 2016, he has had 8 or more.
Houston is also a pretty good tackler having missed just 7.4 percent of his attempted tackles last year and only 4.3 percent the year before. Houston also knows how to play well in the postseason with 3.5 sacks over his last 4 postseason appearances.
If Houston wants to play what years he has remaining on Super Bowl-contending teams, then the Seahawks should absolutely be one of the teams he looks at. Like Vernon, even if things work out where Aldon Smith plays this year, a team cannot have too many pass rushers and Houston would be great depth at edge rusher for Seattle.
