The Seahawks have no fewer than 44 players who are out of contract as of the end of the 2021 season, according to Spotrac.com. Whilst some of these are deep on the depth chart, some are far more significant contributors.

The question is, who will be spending their last season as a Seahawk in 2021, and what does each of them need to do in order to get a new contract or an extension to the existing one?

Factors to be considered include age, salary, performance levels and fit for the current scheme. Let me start by listing the 44 players concerned, I have listed them in current salary order, along with age as of free agency 2022 and position.

I will go through each of these current Seahawks to evaluate their prospects of being a Seahawk on day one of the 2022 season.

With three QBs, three RB/FBs, five WRs, three TEs, two centers, two guards, five offensive tackles, six defensive tackles, two defensive ends, eight cornerbacks, four safeties and a punter in the list there will be a lot of interdependent decisions for the Seahawks to make at the end of the 2021 season.

I will go through all forty-four position by position and entertain you in the process!
