The Seahawks have a talented roster heading into the 2021 season but three players are more irreplaceable than others. Maybe these players are obvious and maybe they aren’t. Can Seattle live to play another day without Bobby Wagner for instance? Possibly. Wagner is a future Hall of Famer but Seattle has some youth at linebacker.

So, Wagner isn’t on this list. I promise you that I do not think Wagner not being able to play doesn’t affect the Seahawks defense because it does. But I think there are three other Seattle players that are very good and in greater positions of need.

I am going to start with the first most irreplaceable player below because the answer is obvious and I would be a complete fool to say anyone other than the quarterback is more irreplaceable. That said, here are the three Seahawks that Seattle cannot do without.

The three most irreplaceable Seahawks in 2021

Number one: Russell Wilson

Nearly every NFL team’s most irreplaceable player is their quarterback. Maybe this isn’t the case with the Tennessee Titans, for example, but at times over Russell Wilson’s career he is seemingly the reason that Seattle has a winning record. Take, for instance, the first half of the 2020 season when the defense was at an all-time worst and Wilson was leading Seattle to victory after victory anyway.

Seattle might have even more talent overall than they did in 2020 heading into 2021, but without Russell Wilson helping Seattle take on tough NFC West foes, Seattle finishes last in its division and well out of a playoff spot.
