Marshawn Lynch should give every Seahawks press conference

Proving once again to be a Seattle and Seahawks legend, Marshawn Lynch announced a pick for the NHL’s Seattle Kraken in a Beast Mode way. Does Marshawn Lynch likely know much about hockey? No. But he wasn’t asked to announce a Kraken pick so that he could at the same time break down who should play center on the fourth line.

Marshawn Lynch was asked to announce one of the Kraken’s expansion picks because he is a Seattle sports legend and he isn’t even from Seattle. But if Lynch ever has to play for a meal in Seattle, I’d be shocked.

But imagine Lynch being hired as the spokesperson for the Seattle Seahawks? Instead of trotting out coaches and players during press conferences in training camp and on practice days, wouldn’t it simply be better for humanity (if not the press corps) if Lynch showed up and answered all the questions?

Marshawn Lynch giving pressers for Seahawks would be amazing

Reporter: “Marshawn, how is the third receiver spot shaping up?”

Marshawn Lynch: “Count your chickens.”

Reporter: “How is the pass rush looking?”

Marshawn Lynch: “I’m thankful.”

Reporter: “Marshawn, why did you even take this job?”

Marshawn Lynch: “I’m here so I don’t get fined.”

Heck, the Seahawks could even probably sell tickets to online viewings of press conferences they’d be so entertaining. Of course, this will never happen but a person can dream.

Back to the Kraken announcement, however. Look at the comments. One says Lynch isn’t respecting the player he is picking. Watch the entire announcement, Lynch actually apologizes for not knowing how to say the players’ name. And again, Lynch wasn’t asked to make the announcement because of his hockey knowledge.

Marshawn Lynch may be Oakland through and through but 12s know he is an adopted son as well. Lynch seemed to like playing in Seattle and 12s loved him playing for the Seahawks. Maybe part of his post-career could be the press secretary for the Seahawks as well?
