Four Seahawks who are making major noise at training camp
By Geoff Shull
Standout player #3: Robert Nkemdiche, IDL
Nkemdiche has been a very pleasant surprise. He has always had otherworldly talent. It is how he found himself being a first-round pick back in 2016. However, the off-the-field issues just never seemed to cease. Because of this, he found himself out of the league in 2020.
Now, a newly matured player has arisen. He understands what he has in front of him and plans on taking every possible path to be as successful as possible. This starts in practice.
His athletic ability has been on full display and his energy has been absolutely contagious. When Seattle plays in the ‘stick’ formation (5-2-4) I won’t be surprised if he ends up winning the 3-tech job with Jarran Reed no longer around.
Seattle has always loved redemption stories. Sometimes they work. Sometimes they don’t. This one is certainly looking like a slam dunk with his production and maturity displayed so far.
If you haven’t already, check out his press conferences. He is an absolute gem. He ate a big ‘ol slice of humble pie and is ready to put his nose down and work. Because of this, he very well may put that athletic profile to use and show out.
