Strength of Seahawks roster #5: Running back

This position has the talent to be even higher on the list. Chris Carson is amongst the most disrespected players in the NFL. People don’t talk enough about what he accomplishes.

What Carson does on a weekly basis gaining yardage where there were no holes made by the offensive line is incredible. Carson has soft hands, agility, and elusiveness to go along with the brutish bully-ball that the Seahawks love. He is coming into this season in the best shape of his career.

Behind Carson, Rashaad Penny, Alex Collins, DeeJay Dallas, and Travis Homer all can play. Each has its strengths. Penny has the breakaway ability to make any play a home run. Collins has incredible agility and strength. He is the perfect offset to run up the gut when Carson needs a break.

Dallas has the pass-catching ability to keep the pressure off Russell Wilson Wilson on blitzes. Homer is arguably the best pass blocker of the group. You put all of these together and you have the makeup of a roster built for all scenarios the game can throw at you.

If an injury occurs. There are enough studs to keep the unit going. The biggest question mark is when multiple injuries occur. This group as a whole has had its fair share of injuries.

If they can stay healthy, they have top 5 capabilities. If the injury bug strikes, this group could struggle. Right now, health is on their side.
