Three Seahawks that disappointed versus Chargers in final preseason game
By Lee Vowell
The Seahawks won their first preseason game of 2021 in their final chance. The team looked good but some players still struggled. Seattle still went with mostly backups but the team’s starters for the most part are set. The backups are trying to earn their play on the depth chart or make the roster at all.
Seattle, to be honest, didn’t have any normal preseason games this year. They either got blown out or did the blowing out. It would have been nice had the games been closer at the end because you might have been able to tell how players did under the pressure of winning or losing.
As it is Pete Carroll will be trying to put together his roster based on some really bad moments and really good ones. Some of the players trying to earn their place on the team may have had their status cemented versus the Chargers in preseason game 3.

There aren’t a whole lot of honorable mention disappointments from Seattle’s game against the Chargers. The team won 27-0 and basically dominated the game from start to finish. Jamarco Jones allowed pressure on Geno Smith once when he literally didn’t move when the ball was snapped and the pass rusher just blew by him. But Jones did OK otherwise.
Aaron Fuller got no passes on Saturday and returned two punts for just an average of 4.5 yards per return but saying he disappointed would be nit-picky. There were three players in one way or another that did disappoint, however.
