The Seahawks look to move to 2-0 in 2021 with a week two victory over the Titans. Tennessee started with a loss to the Cardinals and lost fairly badly. Don’t let that make you think that Tennessee isn’t a potentially good team, however. The Titans have an abundance of offensive weapons and a defense that should be better by the end of the season than it was at the beginning.

The Titans made the playoffs last year and should make it again this season and could finish on top of the AFC South. But Seattle is likely the better team right now. Seattle’s defense looked very good in week one and in the first half against the Colts the Seahawks offense looked fantastic.

Against the Titans, the defense might not look as good but the offense could be even better. This should all lead to another Seattle victory but as we all know, the NFL is a week-by-week game and you can’t truly base what will happen in week two on what happened in week one. Seattle versus Tennessee will likely be a close game.

3 bolds predictions for Seahawks versus Titans

Prediction number one: Titans have the ball for 36 minutes but have fewer total yards than the Seahawks

Tennessee will dominate the clock but not the game. The reason is that Seattle will have several explosive plays both in runs by Chris Carson, deep sideline passes to D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett but several of them will also come in throws over the middle to tight ends Will Dissly and Gerald Everett. Everett will catch 2 touchdown passes in this game.

In 2020, the Titans allowed the 7th-most pass plays of 20+ yards (55) and 8 passes of 40+ yards. In week one of this season, the Titans allowed 6 passes of 20+ yards, next to last in the NFL. Tennessee allowed 36 touchdown passes, 2nd-worst in the league last year. Carson is going to have a couple of big runs, but Seattle will pick up chunk yards through the air and have several quick scoring drives.
