The 1-1 Seahawks play the 0-2 Vikings in week three of the 2021 season. But let the Vikings record fool you. They have a lot of advantages heading into this game. For instance, after two very close losses, Minnesota will play its first home game of the year.

How Seattle responds in this game after losing in week two could be telling. There were a few potential cracks showing in the Seattle foundation this week when Pete Carroll slightly criticized Russell Wilson for not checking down in overtime against the Titans and Wilson said he wasn’t going to change the way he plays. Ick.

The Vikings offense looks a lot like the Titans so Seattle will need to do a few things well to win: Keep Minnesota from eating up the clock on long drives, get an effective run game going with Chris Carson and stop having so many stupid penalties.

Seahawks vs. Vikings: Odds, preview and how to watch

Seahawks Injury Report vs Vikings week three

The following Seattle players have been ruled out for today’s game against the Vikings:

Right tackle Brandon Shell (ankle)

Receiver Dee Eskridge (concussion)

Running back Rashaad Penny (calf)

And Benson Mayowa is questionable with a neck issue)

Shell is the biggest concern here as when he plays he is pretty good. Jamarco Jones will take his place. Also, defensive tackle Bryan Mone should play and that should be a big help as he missed week two and Derrick Henry ran all over Seattle.

Out for the Vikings are linebacker Anthony Barr (knee), offensive tackle Christian Darrisaw (groin) and cornerback Harrison Hand (hamstring). But the big question is whether running back Dalvin Cook will play. Cook is questionable with an ankle injury.
