Joseph may hit one versus the Seahawks but it won't be a winner
Minnesota Vikings kicker Greg Joseph (1) misses a game-winning field goal against the Arizona Cardinals as time expires during the fourth quarter in Glendale, Ariz. Sept. 19, 2021. The Arizona Cardinals won 34-33. /

Prediction four is that a Vikes cornerback will intercept Russell Wilson. Umm…I guess you could say they’re overdue, but even Ms. Rohach admits they stink. Minnesota currently has two INTs on the season, one by linebacker Nick Vigil, the other by safety Xavier Woods. The DangeRuss one has no picks so far on the 2021 campaign. I don’t see that changing today, and not by possibly the worst corner duo in the league.

Listen 12s, we can all agree that Tre Flowers hasn’t been the best cover man in the league. But Pro Football Focus actually grades him slightly ahead of the Vikes Patrick Peterson in coverage, 54.8 to 53.1. And that’s more than a little better than the other Vikes defender Bashaud Breeland, who comes in with a stellar coverage grade of 29.0. I’m pretty sure Pete Carroll can still cover better than that.

I’ll admit that number three is an interesting possibility: kicker Greg Joseph hits a clutch field goal late in the game. The Vikings have had a lot of trouble with kickers in the past few years. They were even kind enough to pass one of those problem children on to the Seahawks, as all good 12s remember with less than fondness. Sort of the Blair Yechh Project. There’s more than a touch of misery on that memory, so let’s just move on, shall we?

Back to Joseph. Yeah, he missed a chip shot that would have won their game against the desert chickens last week. He also made two earlier in the game, so he isn’t exactly terrible. Plus the actual prediction is, “hits a clutch field goal in the fourth to keep the Vikings’ 1-2 hopes alive.” He may do that, and the Hawks will still win. So I’ll give this one an… okay, sure.
