Seahawks need help and should be in contact with these 5 players
By Geoff Shull
Player to target #5: Javian Hawkins, RB/WR
The Seahawks are trying to gain more consistency on offense. With Dee Eskridge banged up, they need a dynamic weapon. Someone to run screens, run the ball, catch passes, and keep the defense on their toes.
Javian Hawkins is a weapon. In his last year with Louisville, he accumulated 2,544 yards and 17 touchdowns. The guy is a factor, albeit undersized. Put him into the game for no other reason than keeping the defense on their toes.
In the preseason with the Falcons and Titans, he averaged 6.33 yards per carry. He has the kind of juice that can make a huge difference. His comp coming into the draft is Nyheim Hines who is currently out-snapping last year’s second-round draft pick Jonathan Taylor with the Colts.
This is the type of player that the Seahawks need. For a blend of Rams/Seahawks offense, dynamism is incredibly important.
