After a rough game with the Rams in week 5, in which the Seahawks lost 26-17, and lost star QB Russell Wilson to a finger injury, there are major concerns coming into a prime-time match-up with the Steelers on Sunday.

1.  No Russell Wilson

Give Geno Smith credit for keeping Seattle in last week’s game against the Rams, but now the real test comes. As Smith will enter as Seattle’s starting QB for the first time in his three seasons with the Seahawks. Also, the Steelers will have a week to prepare for him, instead of Russell Wilson, whom the Rams expected to see for the entire game last week.

3 concerns for Seahawks in week 6

Replacing a franchise quarterback mid-season is difficult for any team, but the Seahawks have been built around Russell Wilson for a while now. With Wilson injured, the rest of Seattle’s team needs to step in his absence, it cannot all be on Geno Smith to carry this team.

2. The Defense is the worst in the league

Pete Carroll’s defensive prowess is starting to wear thin, as the defense is in complete disarray after another terrible performance in week 5 against the Rams. Except for an outstanding performance against a lack-luster Colts offense, and a decent showing against a backup quarterback in week 4, Seattle’s defense has been awful.

The Seahawks defensive overall has been awful for much of the season giving up over 450 yards a game. Barring a drastic turnaround, this Seahawks defense could be the league’s worst.

3. Seahawks history playing in Pittsburgh is not great

The Seahawks have dropped two of their last three games in Pittsburgh against the Steelers. Their lone win in those four came against a Steelers team that lost QB Ben Rothlisberger early in the game and the Seahawks won 28-26.

Next. Ken Norton, Jr. needs to go. dark

The Steelers have had their share of struggles this season albeit mostly on the offensive side but do have one of the league’s best defenses when TJ Watt is healthy. They did just snap a three-game losing streak, by beating the Broncos at home last Sunday.
