Fletcher Cox

Fletcher Cox has underperformed this season and the Eagles are going nowhere as a team this season. His contract is up after this season, but his current salary is quite expensive for teams short on cap space this year. His total cap hit is a little over $16 million for this season, and the Eagles would have to eat a large portion of his salary to pull off a trade.

However, this could present an opportunity for a buyer at the trade deadline should the Seahawks be interested. It is likely the Eagles would not be able to demand much in return for him and could make a deal based on cash considerations alone.

Cox has made six Pro Bowls, including last season, and won a Super Bowl with the Eagles in 2017. He would give the Seahawks a needed veteran presence in the locker room and at the position of defensive lineman. Cox has been consistently healthy, starting in 147 out of 151 games the past 10 seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles.

The only major hurdle in pulling off a trade would be his contract, and whether the Seahawks could afford to pay him this season and next year. However, if the Eagles are financially flexible this deal could happen.
