The Seahawks are 3-6 and the Cardinals are 8-2. Seattle absolutely must have a win in week 11 and our staff is split about whether good things will happen in week 11 or not.

But to be fair, I think the majority of the staff every week of 2021 has more hope than I do. We might simply not be facing the fact that the Seahawks are not a good football team. Sure, they are 3-6 and have had key injuries, especially to Russell Wilson, but since week 1 this team has been inconsistent.

Does anyone truly know what Seattle is going to produce each game? No. Seattle easily beat the Jaguars but then got shut out against the Packers when Wilson returned. Yes, the Packers are much better than the Jaguars. But then Jacksonville beat the Bills the week after getting trounced by the Seahawks so each week is a different week in the NFL. For Seattle to score 0 points against Green Bay is a bit shocking.

The offense is a mess right now. Early in the season, they would be good one half and not good in the other. That’s coaching. On average, Seattle has given up the 2nd most sacks in the NFL (3.2 a game) and so that issue is mostly on the offensive line. But no receivers got open easily against Green Bay and that is a receiver’s fault many times. And Wilson was awful in week 10.

Staff predictions for week 11 when Seahawks face Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals are really good on defense. Arizona is 10th in QBR-allowed (87), 7th in sacks (25) and 10th in tackles-for-loss (43). But the Cardinals are also last in the league in yards-allowed-per-rush (4.8). Think the Seahawks are going to run the ball a lot on Sunday? They should but I have no faith they will.

The team seems to have no concept of what it needs to do entering a game. Yes, they don’t have Chris Carson but Alex Collins has been pretty good. Collins just hasn’t gotten the ball consistently enough.

There is also a chance the Cardinals get Kyler Murray back but I actually have more faith in the Seahawks defense than offense currently and I never dream I’d say that this year. But what does our staff think will happen?
