Who is in and who is out for Seahawks in Week 14 versus the Texans
By Lee Vowell
The Seattle Seahawks play the Houston Texans in Week 14 and four players for Seattle are listed as Out and another won’t be elevated to being active.
Running back Adrian Peterson, who played in Week 13 after being signed a few days before, will not be elevated from the practice squad to active duty against the Texans. Peterson has a lower back injury. Coach Pete Carroll said the injury occurred this week during practice.
My very uninformed opinion is that Seattle thinks they can defeat the 2-10 Texans without Peterson’s help and are just holding him out to save him for the final four games of the season. This likely means the Seahawks will try to play Rashaad Penny a lot. Let’s hope Penny can stay healthy for two full games in a row.
Seattle will also be without running back and special teams ace Travis Homer. Homer has calf and hamstring injuries. He, of course, had an amazing game in Week 13 and was NFC Special Teams Player of the Week and ran for a touchdown on a fake punt.

So without Homer and Peterson, Seattle will only have Alex Collins, DeeJay Dallas and Penny at running back unless they elevate someone else from the practice squad.
The Seahawks will also be missing safety Jamal Adams, of course. Adams suffered a shoulder injury in the first half of Week 13 and will miss the rest of the season after requiring surgery to fix the issue.
The offensive line is another unit of concern for the Seahawks on Sunday as they will be without right tackle Brandon Shell (shoulder) and backup lineman Kyle Fuller (calf). Taking Shell’s place might be rookie Stone Forsythe. Forsythe took over for Shell when Shell left with injury last week.
Safety, and definite Pro Bowl candidate, Quandre Diggs is questionable with a calf issue but Carroll said Diggs will play on Sunday.
The Texans have zero players listed as out but have six listed as questionable. This includes receiver Brandin Cooks (back), likely Houston’s best offensive player, and former Seahawk Kevin Pierre-Louis (hamstring/wrist). Others listed as questionable are Jonathan Greenard (foot), Brevin Jordan (hand), A.J. Moore (hip) and Jimmy Moreland (foot).
