The Seattle Seahawks play the Houston Texans on Sunday. Here is everything you need to know about the Week 14 matchup in Houston.

The all-time head-to-head matchup favors Seattle 3-1. The Texans haven’t been a franchise for that long, of course. The two teams have met just twice since Russell Wilson became Seattle’s quarterback (2013 and 2017) and Seattle has won each game by 3 points.

Seattle is 4-8 and trying to win two straight games for the first time in 2021. (I realize that sounds a bit shocking compared to the most seasons over the last decade.) Houston is 2-10 but is 7th in the NFL in creating turnovers with 21. Houston has created 12 combined turnovers in the last four games.

Seattle is 22nd in points scored per game (19.9) but 6th (seriously!) in points allowed per game (20.8). Houston is last in the NFL by quite a long way in scoring per game (13.7) and 30th in points allowed per game (26.9) The Seahawks should win the game.

Seattle Seahawks vs. Texans: Odds, preview and how to watch week 14

Seahawks Injury Report vs. Texans week 14

Seattle will be missing four players on Sunday. Most were expected. Jamal Adams injured his shoulder against the 49ers last week and will miss the rest of the season. Ryan Neal will take his place.

Seattle will also be without offensive linemen Brandon Shell (shoulder) and Kyle Fuller (calf) along with running back Travis Homer (hamstring and calf). Only Shell is a true starter and he likely will be replaced by Stone Forsythe.

Quandre Diggs is questionable but is expected to play. Seattle also elevated Gavin Heslop from the practice squad to help backup at safety.

The Texans have no one listed as officially out but have six listed as questionable. The biggest name of the bunch is receiver Brandin Cooks who may be Houston’s best offensive player overall.
