NFL Wild Card Sunday features the 49ers, one of three NFC West teams to make the postseason. But also, possibly Ben Roethlisberger’s last game.

Not that the Seattle Seahawks played uninspired football this year – I don’t think anyone should argue that Seattle didn’t care if it won or lost – but the team might have a little extra motivation in 2022 as they are the only team in the NFC West not to make the postseason.

But Seattle should be better next year. The issue is most of the playoff teams playing Sunday aren’t going to be worse. Seattle will still, even with a last-place schedule, have a tough road to the postseason as the teams ahead of them – Tampa Bay, Philadelphia (seriously) and Dallas – should be pretty good again in 2022.

Staff predictions for NFL Wild Card Sunday

But three teams will see their seasons end on Sunday. Our staff is nearly unanimous in who we think is victorious. Maybe there won’t be much drama on Sunday.

As far as WynnBet goes, they favor the Buccaneers by 8.5 over the Eagles, Dallas by 3 points over San Francisco and Kansas City by a whopping 12.5 points over Pittsburgh. At least one of these games will likely be wrong because nothing is certain in the NFL.
