Quandre Diggs

Quandre Diggs suffered a horrible leg injury in the last game of the season but reports had him returning in 4-5 months. If so, this is plenty of time for him to return before the 2022 season. In fact, this would be two months before Week 1 which means Diggs could be pretty close to 100 percent if all goes well.

Diggs was pretty good on really bad Lions teams before being traded to the Seahawks in 2019. But since coming to Seattle he has been great. In fact, he made the Pro Bowl this year. But more importantly and productively for our favorite team, Diggs has 13 interceptions in 37 games. He plays the back end of the defense almost as well as Earl Thomas did in the early 2010s and that alone means Diggs is worth re-signing.

But Diggs is also extremely important in the locker room and fellow Seahawks seem to like him a lot. Diggs was carted off the field with his leg injury in Week 18 and shed tears. Heck, if I had been hurt like that I’d be screaming like a baby so Diggs is definitely tougher than I am. But teammates also were shedding tears. That shows how important Diggs is on and off the field.

The argument could be made that Diggs was the most consistently good defensive player Seattle had in 2021. But it is clear that he is the one ball-hawking defensive back that Seattle has and those can be difficult to find. That is just another reason Diggs must be re-signed.
