Calais Campbell

The Seahawks were one of the teams that were interested in Campbell in the past when he was on the trade market, now he is a free agent. Campbell would be a great asset in the pass rush and has also been effective in special teams blocking field goals as well.

For a team that needs help rushing the passer Campbell can help with that. He had 12 QB hits in 2021 and 1.5 sacks as a defensive tackle for the Baltimore Ravens. His production was sub-par for him, as he typically averages about 6 sacks a season, hopefully it was just a down year for him.

Although, his age is starting to creep up, as he is now 35 years old. He would be a veteran presence in the locker room, with 15 years of NFL experience in the Cardinals, Ravens, and Jaguars organizations.

If Seattle were to sign him, he would need to take a significant pay cut given he made $10 million this past season, as his production dropped off. Were they to miss out on other highly-touted free agent defensive lineman, the Seahawks could offer Campbell a short-term contract, as a buy-low option. If they do sign him, hopefully he has bounce-back year.
