Now that the Super Bowl is in the rearview, the Seahawks and all other NFL teams kick into high gear towards the offseason. All teams can now assess their needs and try to navigate around the salary cap to improve their team.

The Seattle Seahawks must take this opportunity to figure out what their needs are and carefully map out a plan on which position they have to prioritize. Even with money to spend this offseason, the Seahawks have to ensure they are properly allocating their $36,809,263 salary cap space. Seattle has their own free agents to worry about, and they have to decide whether or not it is in the team’s best interest to sign these players back and for how much.

Some of the notable free agents on the Seahawks are CB Quandre Diggs, OT Duane Brown, and RB Rashaad Penny, to name a few. Not that one player is more important than the other, however, Seattle has to review their biggest weakness last season that had them finishing at the bottom of the NFC West division.

Three options that would make the Seahawks 2022 offensive line better

Let’s not beat around the bush here and pretend that the biggest hole of the Seahawks’ lineup is not their offensive line. Seattle’s OLine has been mediocre for the past 2 seasons and is mostly the reason why we keep hearing all the Russell Wilson trade rumors. DangeRuss cannot always be expected to magically escape the pocket every play. He is not getting any younger and cannot take all the punishments of not being able to get protection.

With new coaches in place, Seahawks can now move forward in assessing each positional need and start improving their offensive line. These are some of the free agent offensive linesmen the Seattle Seahawks have to try to sign in order to improve the team for next season.
