Player four: Alexander Johnson, ILB

I mentioned above that the other inside linebacker could be Cody Barton. What if it wasn’t? What if the newly appointed assistant head coach Sean Desai brings an ‘ol pal from the Broncos over to the Seahawks?

Alexander Johnson is by far from a household name. He has been a very late bloomer in the NFL. However, under Desai’s tutelage, Johnson is a breakout candidate waiting to happen.

He finished last season with an impressive PFF grade of 81.0. This figure would have been by far the highest for the Seahawks linebacker group last year.

He is a do-it-all middle linebacker. His bread and butter is playing the run and shooting the gaps. He is very decisive in his decision-making and has the potential to be a steal. He has not had a lot of opportunities, but when he has, he has shined.

Next. 3 potential landing spots for Bobby Wagner. dark

Sometimes players simply arrive late. James Harrison did not get a shot until he was 29. This signing won’t make many fans excited. But it should if it happens. This has a shot to be a huge get with a player that is already familiar with the new Seahawks scheme and succeeded in it.

Suggested contract: 1 year, $3 million
