Why DK Metcalf trade to Packers, Jets or Chiefs doesn’t make sense

No to the Jets

If any of these three spots make any sense, it’s the New York Jets.  We know all too well that the Seahawks have a history of big trades with general manager Joe Douglas.  We know that the Jets hotly pursued Tyreek Hill when he was on the market, and would surely be willing to put the hammer down in a DK Metcalf trade.

They’ve got a good amount of draft capital, including the 4th overall pick and the 10th overall pick (the latter coming from Seattle as part of the Jamal Adams trade).  They also have room to work in terms of the salary cap and a developing quarterback that could benefit from another weapon being added.

For no particular reason, I just feel as though the New York Jets will take the first receiver off the board at the number 10 spot.  Pairing either Garrett Wilson or Treylon Burks with Elijah Moore would be a great decision for the Jets, and I think Joe Douglas wants Zach Wilson to step up as more of leader this year.

Surrounding him with younger talent may help with this.  Don’t get me wrong, the Jets definitely have the means to get this deal done, but I would be surprised if it happened.
