The Seahawks enter the 2022 NFL draft needing to fill several needs. But some current players might need to worry about who Seattle takes.

Seattle has shown this offseason that they aren’t afraid to make changes. The team traded Russell Wilson and released Bobby Wagner. Those things happened on the same day. So it would not be shocking if the Seahawks chose some players in the draft with an eye on replacing ones on the roster.

And if Seattle is truly committed to a rebuild then changes need to be made and get the roster younger, faster, and, hopefully, better. Here are five players who should be a bit nervous about the Seahawks 2022 draft.

The Seahawks have several question marks on the current roster who could be replaced in the 2022 NFL draft.

Chris Carson

The issue with Carson isn’t about ability; He has that. But staying healthy and available is also an ability. Carson doesn’t have that. He has played for five seasons and never played an entire one. He came close in 2019 but then finished the season on Injured Reserve and missed the postseason.

Of course, Carson isn’t to blame for his current issue which is a neck injury that required surgery. Carson likely wants to play, he just can’t for at least several games most years. For a team that probably wants to run more starting in 2022, having healthy running backs is a must.

Seattle re-signed Rashaad Penny this offseason too and the way Penny finished 2021, he should be the presumed starter. Seattle might choose to take two running backs, not just one, in the 2022 draft and those guys could make Carson expendable.
