1. Richard Sherman, CB, Stanford (154th overall in 2011) Value Grade=400.4

And finally, coming in at number 1 on the list of best value picks that John Schneider has ever made is Richard Sherman, with a whopping value grade of 400.4.

Sherman provided so many memorable moments as well as so much good cornerback play (something we have been scrambling to find ever since his departure) as a Seattle Seahawk. The 5 time Pro owler, 3-time All-Pro and Super Bowl champion played 7 seasons in Seattle, and every one was good.

Sherman was seen as a risk coming out of Stanford, as he was previously a wide receiver, and was an extremely raw prospect at the cornerback position.  But, in true Schneider-Carroll fashion, they trusted in the tall and lengthy cornerback prospect, and boy was it a home run.

Getting the best corner in franchise history at 154th overall is obviously fantastic value, value that GM John Schneider has never been able to match since.  Going forward, 12s can only hope we can get value as good as the players on this list, and after losing Wagner, Wilson, Reed, etc. in the offseason, we need the value now more than ever.
