Seahawks fans, are you ready for round one of the 2022 NFL draft when Seattle will actually have a pick? Here is when round one starts and how to watch.

Seattle currently has 8 picks: One in the first round, two in the second, one in the third, one in the fourth, two in the fifth and one in the seventh. If Seattle makes no trades in the draft that will more shocking than if Seattle takes a long snapper with their first pick.

Seahawks general manager John Schneider always makes a move or five. While there have been several mock drafts about who Seattle is going to take a pick number 9 overall (this website alone has had a bunch), Seattle sticking at number 9 doesn’t seem likely.

How to watch and stream what the Seahawks do in round one of the 2022 NFL draft

Trading the pick and moving back means picking up more draft capital. This is the Schneider way and it has worked for the most part over the last 12 years.

As opposed to many recent seasons, however, the Seahawks have several holes on the team. They need to get good offensive tackles and one of three good edge rushers. The cornerback group also needs an impact player; not just depth but a starter.

All of these groups have several players who would help Seattle at pick number 9. But many of them have players who would help even at pick 12 or 15. Unless the Seahawks have just fallen in love with a player, the likelihood is the team trades back.
