Seahawks top the charts for Macklemore

Macklemore is one of the best-known musicians on the planet. He also happens to be one of the best-known fans of the Hawks. As he’s a native of Seattle, it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that the rapper is a huge fan of his hometown team. Macklemore has entertained the 12s before games, at halftime, and raised the 12s flag.

What may surprise some is that coach Pete Carroll is just as much a fan of Macklemore as the platinum-selling artist is of the Hawks. As detailed by the Sam Farmer in The Los Angeles Times, Carroll and Macklemore have quite the mutual admiration society.

I am not sure who this makes cooler, though. The rapper from Seattle or the coach from California. Either way, 12s I am sure are OK with it.

Talking about how Seattle became known for hip-hop (remember, this was in 2014), Macklemore added that the city also gained notoriety for “great football, top-tier athletes here in Seattle and the greatest coach in the NFL. So it all kind of happened at the same time.” Yeah, he’s a fan. A big one.
