With the draft gone by and the Seahawks roster looking better than it had previously been, we enter the most dead time of the NFL offseason between the draft and training camp.

However, to celebrate the schedule release that is coming up this Thursday, let’s go through each game on the schedule and determine victory or defeat.

While this is a very early prediction of the Seahawks record, it’s always fun to think about which teams we have an advantage over and which we don’t quite stack up to.

Predicting the Seattle Seahawks record in 2022

The team definitely won’t be as win-ready this season, but the roster will still be talented. The Seahawks also have the benefit of a last-place schedule coming off their 4th place NFC West finish in 2021.  While the Seahawks record may not be the prettiest thing at the end of the 2022 season, it’s important to remember that the team holds a bunch of future draft capital (including two first-round picks in 2023).

If the Seahawks make a return to greatness, it won’t be in 2022.  However, 2022 will be a vital season for determining best paths forward, including at quarterback.  Can Drew Lock be the next franchise piece, or does the team need to target a top-end prospect in the draft?

While you’re watching what may be a somewhat ugly season this fall, keep in mind that the key to this year is learning about the talent on the roster and making decisions for 2023 and beyond.
