The Seattle Seahawks have good players on their team but will be missing a certain quarterback this year. Does this mean Seattle can’t win?

So, yeah he-who-must-not-be-named (OK, really, I am talking about Russell Wilson as we all know) is gone and never to return. Except, you know, in Week 1 of the 2022 season when Mr. Wilson is wearing the uniform of a different team. Wouldn’t it be great to have Wilson lose his first game with his new team?

I don’t mean this as a disrespect to Wilson; I mean it as a Seahawks fan. I don’t care who the quarterback is for the first – or last – team Seattle plays in a season, I want that quarterback and that quarterback’s team to lose.

But the biggest question hanging over the 2022 season for Seattle is how good Seattle can be without Russell Wilson. Most national pundits like bringing the hate on Seattle for the trade this offseason and also expect the Seahawks to not be good.

Seattle Seahawks need to bust three myths in 2022

There are reasons why Seattle might succeed this coming year while the Broncos, Wilson’s new team, fails. One obvious one is Seattle plays a last-place schedule in 2022 due to the team’s last-place finish in the NFC West in 2021 (even though the team still had Wilson). The Broncos, though, are part of what is the NFL’s equivalent to hell on earth, the AFC West.

But predictions of the Seahawks coming season aren’t just based on Russell Wilson no longer being the quarterback. There are many myths Seattle will need to bust in 2022. Here are three.
