5 Seahawks who could get elected to the Pro Bowl in 2022

Seahawks Pro Bowl candidates 2 and 3
Linebacker Jordyn Brooks
In the first two years of Brooks’ career, he was overshadowed by future Hall of Fame linebacker Bobby Wagner. But now Wagner is no longer with the Seahawks so Brooks will have the proverbial spotlight on him. And to be fair, Brooks was better than Wagner in 2021. Brooks led the NFL in solo tackles (109), led the team in tackles overall (184), and had 10 tackles for loss (compared to Wagner’s 3).
Brooks is tenacious and fast and doesn’t miss tackles. He looks a bit like a young Wagner in that last aspect. Brooks’ numbers already put him among the best linebackers in the NFL. Maybe this year he will get enough attention to deservedly put him in the Pro Bowl.
Wide receiver DK Metcalf
Metcalf has played three seasons in the NFL yet only made one Pro Bowl and that was in 2020. His numbers might not go up without Russell Wilson but there are also some things in his favor. First of all, he held out of mandatory minicamp and wants a contract extension. This should mean Metcalf is extra-motivated to have a great year and make his next contract be massive.
Metcalf has the skills, obviously. He already has set a Seahawks record for receiving yards in a season (1,303 in 2020). Even though Metcalf didn’t have 1,000 yards receiving in 2021, he still had 12 touchdown receptions which were fourth in the league. He is a popular player and charismatic. Also, he is very skilled. Metcalf makes the Pro Bowl this season, however, based on his production.
