The Seattle Seahawks are still trying to figure out who the quarterback will be in 2022. But in 2023 the team could have several options to choose from.

Hopefully, one of these options – and the Seahawks only need one to work out well – will be available for Seattle. One of the following quarterbacks certainly will but the other four Seattle will need to acquire.

While there is no Russell Wilson anymore in Seattle, the team is trying to build for the long term and finding the right quarterback, along with the talent that is on the rest of the roster, could make Seattle a contender again by 2024.

Five quarterbacks that could help the Seahawks be good again starting in 2023

Number 5: Current Browns QB Baker Mayfield

I can hear the moans and the complaints. “Lee, you’re an idiot! Mayfield?” Well, I may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but I still think there’s a really good chance that the Seahawks trade for Mayfield this offseason. There is also a decent chance he plays well in 2022.

Mayfield may not be a great quarterback, though he might be better outside the Browns organization because the Cleveland franchise has been a toxic one for decades. He also isn’t a bad quarterback. Mayfield was good in 2020 with 26 touchdown passes against just 8 interceptions. Plus, check out his statistics before he got hurt in 2021 and he was just as good as he was in 2020.

I am assuming Seattle adds Mayfield, he is the starter in 2022 and he plays well. If all that happens, he will get paid but not anywhere near top-ten QB money. In the long run, this could help create cap space for Seattle to add another excellent player or two.
