Seahawks WR DK Metcalf

We save the best for last in this edition of top fantasy players for the Seahawks in 2022. DK Metcalf is a freak of an athlete, and although he is still waiting for his contract extension, fantasy managers should not be afraid of drafting him this year. Pete Carroll and the Seahawks’ management kept emphasizing they are not in rebuild mode, so if we are basing it off of those comments, I do not see them trading DK.

Just like Tyler Lockett, DK Metcalf’s production took a dip last season due to Russell Wilson’s injury. In 2021, DK still saw 129 targets (identical to 2020), but only managed to have 967 receiving yards on 75 catches. Compared those to his 2020 massive output of 83 catches for 1,303 receiving yards, leaving fantasy managers who drafted DK in the 2nd round last season, massively disappointed.

DK Metcalf has the potential to give your fantasy team a massive production in the wide receiver position even with doubts on the Seahawks quarterback, as he is being drafted as a WR2 behind Michael Pittman and Tee Higgins in most drafts.

Next. Should the Seahawks go after Lamar Jackson?. dark

Currently ranked as a wide receiver 15 in half-PPR scoring, DK is a tall, big-bodied player, who can easily win a 50-50 end zone ball. Any improvement from his receiving yardage from last season will be a welcome sight to all fantasy managers that will draft him this year in the middle to late 3rd round.
