If the Seahawks were going to trade DK Metcalf, it seems they would have already done so. But one site predicts Metcalf will be traded soon.

Of course, predictions mean little and people (including this site!) must find things to write about when there are no games or practices going on. DK Metcalf, now that Russell Wilson has been traded, is probably the face of the franchise.

So, why not speculate on what is happening with DK Metcalf, right? His contract is up after this season, he held out of mandatory minicamp and who knows where he will end up in 2023? But Bleacher Report thinks there is a chance that DK Metcalf gets traded by the Seahawks before training camp. But where is he going?

Bleacher Report predicts Seahawks trade DK Metcalf to Cowboys

Metcalf to Dallas? Ew. I don’t want Metcalf to leave the Seahawks at all but one team I would hate to see him go to is the Dallas Cowboys. Or the New England Patriots. Or anyone in the NFC West, obviously.

But what would Seattle get back for Metcalf, according to Bleacher Report? A first-round and a second-round pick in 2023? Does that seem like enough? No way. I get that Metcalf could sign elsewhere with any other team after 2022 but Seattle isn’t forced to trade him now and if they do that offer better be great.

Plus, the Cowboys play in a terrible division and are probably going to have a decent record which means the draft picks that the Seahawks get back will be at the end of each round. Low-round draft picks and only one first-round choice? No, thank you.

Dallas does have a decent amount of cap space, however, so they can afford Metcalf. But so can Seattle. Let’s be real, we all hope Metcalf is playing in a Seahawks uniform for the next 8 years and never speaks kindly of Jerry Jones.
